Flushing Meadows, NY (Sports Network) - Rain has been the big winner thus far on Day 3 of the 2013 U.S. Open.

Third-seeded and defending champion Andy Murray and former winner Juan Martin del Potro are among those scheduled for opening-round action Wednesday at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The sixth-seeded 2009 champion del Potro was leading Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 2-1 in the first set before wet weather took over.

The third-seeded Murray is slated to take on veteran French left-hander Michael Llodra. The reigning Wimbledon and U.S. Open titlist beat Novak Djokovic in last year's final in Flushing and was a runner-up here in 2008.

The lone result so far on the men's side saw former Australian Open runner-up and former top-10 star Marcos Baghdatis, of Cyprus, drub Japan's Go Soeda, 6-4, 6-3, 6-1.
