BRIDGEHAMPTON, N.Y. (AP) -- A police report on Madonna's fall from a horse in the Hamptons is silent on whether paparazzi scared the animal, as her spokeswoman has said.
The Southampton Town police report says only that the pop superstar "was a victim of a fall from a horse" Saturday in Bridgehampton and was taken to Southampton Hospital with "unknown injuries." It's unclear whether she told police anything about the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The 50-year-old singer was treated for minor injuries and bruises, according to her spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg.
Rosenberg has said paparazzi leaped startled the horse Madonna was riding.
Photographer Thomas Hinton says Madonna's host was the only photographer around when the singer fell. Hinton says he photographed Madonna from a public road before and after the accident but wasn't there when she fell.
Rosenberg said Monday the singer stands by her statement.
