Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - Nate Thompson had two goals, including the game-winner with 23.1 seconds remaining in overtime, to lift Tampa Bay to a 2-1 victory over Montreal at Bell Centre.

Victor Hedman collected a carom off the end boards and dished to the slot for Thompson, who slid the puck past Carey Price's left pad and inside the right post.

The Lightning killed a Montreal power play that had extended into the extra session.

Ben Bishop earned his 27th win with a 28-save performance. He was forced to depart Tampa Bay's game on Thursday after being struck in the head by the skate of teammate Nikita Kucherov.

The Lightning had dropped the first two stops on their four-game road trip.

Price stopped 34 shots for Montreal, which has dropped five of its last seven games.
