Springfield, MO (Sports Network) - Andrew Svoboda fired an 8-under 64 on
Sunday to race to a 3-stroke victory at the Price Cutter Charity Championship.
Svoboda claimed his first career victory on the Web.com Tour at 22-under-par
"It was a great final day. I've played in four U.S. Opens and won a lot as an
amateur, but this is the greatest feeling for me," said Svoboda. "For me to be
able to win on this level is great. To win means everything to me."
Fernando Mechereffe carded his second straight 5-under 67 to finish in second
place at 19-under, while Matt Davidson also shot 64 to capture a share of
third with Daniel Chopra (68) at minus-18.
Third-round leader Alex Prugh managed just a 1-under 71 during his final round
at Highland Springs Country Club to take fifth at 17-under 271.
Joe Durant (65) occupied sixth at 16-under. Brice Garnett (67), Brian Duncan
(67), Russell Knox (69) and Jason Gore (70) tied for seventh at 15-under 273.
Prugh entered the day holding a 2-stroke lead over Hunter Haas, Chopra,
Svoboda and Mechereffe, but it was Davidson who first met Prugh in the lead as
he vaulted up the leaderboard with six birdies over his first eight holes to
reach 16-under before the leader began his final round.
Prugh, however, quickly regained the outright lead when he hit the course with
a birdie at the first.
Davidson followed with a gain at the 11th to keep pace, but Prugh answered
with a birdie at the fifth to again pull ahead.
Prugh would then bogey the sixth to fall back into a tie with Davidson at 17-

It would not last, though, as Svoboda reeled off three straight birdies from
the 11th, including back-to-back 30-foot putts at the 11th and 12th, to pull
ahead by three shots.
No one would get any closer than that for the remainder of the round and
Svoboda followed another gain at the 15th with three consecutive pars to close
out the victory.
"I knew what was going on," Svoboda said. "When I got to 20, I thought I
