Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Behind a career-high 30 points from Erik Etherly, the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds closed out the season in style by holding on to a 63-61 win over the Manhattan Jaspers in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action at Reitz Arena.

Etherly shot 11-of-18 from the floor for Loyola (21-10, 12-6 MAAC), and his effort could have been even better had he not struggled from the foul line (8- of-15). Dylon Cormier netted 14 points, while Robert Olson chipped in 10 points for the Greyhounds, who are locked into the third seed for the MAAC Tournament.

For Manhattan (12-17, 9-9), Rhamel Brown (14 points) and Donovan Kates (11 points) each grabbed eight rebounds, while Mohamed Koita and Emmy Andujar poured in 10 points apiece. The Jaspers had been winners of four of their previous five heading into the contest.

In a back-and-forth first half, Loyola took a 39-35 lead into halftime by shooting 48.3 percent from the field.

The Greyhounds extended their lead to double-digits midway through the second quarter, but the Jaspers climbed back to make their deficit just three, 58-55, with under four minutes left on an Andujar layup, but Loyola never relinquished its lead down the stretch.

Loyola cashed in 19 points off of 15 Manhattan turnovers.
