Little Rock, AR (Sports Network) - Ben Dillard scored 17 points off the bench
as the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans cruised to an 83-58 win over the ULM
Warhawks in Sun Belt Conference action at the Jack Stephens Center.
Dillard connected on 3-of-6 shots from behind the arc and all four of his free
throws for UALR (6-3, 2-0 Sun Belt). James White shot 5-of-8 from the floor en
route to 14 points and Will Neighbour had 13 points and six boards.
Jayon James led the Warhawks (0-4, 0-2) with 15 points, but he turned the ball
over eight times, one less than the entire Trojans' starting lineup. Marcelis
Hansberry scored 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting off the bench.
ULM came out as the aggressors and led by seven after the first official
timeout. UALR rebounded and took its first lead on a Dillard jumper late in
the half and led 32-27 at intermission. ULM struggled at the foul line, making
just 3-of-8 in the first half.
The Trojans opened the second half on an 8-2 run to increase their lead to
double figures. They pulled away by holding the Warhawks to 37.9 percent from
the floor over the final 20 minutes.
