ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. (WUSA9) -- Officials say a pipe leading to an extraction well at the Canal Creek Groundwater Treatment Plant failed Monday. That failure released approximately 29,000 gallons of untreated groundwater into a storm drain on the Edgewood area of Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Officials tell us the break has been repaired.

Experts are monitoring the area.

The Harford County Department of Health and the Maryland Department of the Environment were notified about the incident.
