WUSA 9 Call For Action solving consumer problems

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- You've got problems and our WUSA 9 Call For Action team is getting results.

We are solving consumer issues all across our area, and we want to help you, too.

Theron in Williamsburg, Virginia ordered a dishwasher online with installation from a big box retailer.  When the workers came out to install her dishwasher, they could see that it was damaged.  The store sent Theron a new dishwasher, but she couldn't get the store to swap out the damaged unit. 

The WUSA 9 Call For Action team stepped in and got that damaged dishwasher out, and a new model in her home, case closed.

And, Liz in Greenbelt, Maryland reached out to our team to try and help a family member who lost a job.  The family member was receiving unemployment from the D.C. government.  In order to do that, the family member had to attend a certain workshop.  She arrived at the workshop, but because of an ID problem her check was cancelled. 

When our WUSA 9 Call For Action team reached out to the District's Office of Employment Services, someone quickly got back to help Liz and her family member, and helped to reinstate those checks.
