RESTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fairfax County Police have identified two people who died Saturday morning after an SUV and a taxicab collided on the Fairfax County Parkway. Police identified them as 29-year-old Norbert Sebok and 24-year-old Jozsef Szathmari, both of Youngs Cliff Road in Sterling.

Police say that the preliminary investigation indicates that a 24-year-old man drove from the southbound into the northbound lanes near Wiehle Avenue around 1:45 a.m. and struck a taxi cab head on.

Police officials add that both passengers in the taxi, Sebok and Szathmari, were not wearing seatbelts and died on the scene.

The taxi cab driver, a 47-year-old man who was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima Red Top taxi, was transported to the hospital. He remains in serious, life-threatening condition at Inova Fairfax Hospital.

The driver of the Chevy, 24-year-old Manuel Alejandro Jimenez Benitez of Herndon, is in non-life threatening condition at the same hospital. Police have charged him with two counts of aggravated involuntary manslaughter. He will be transported to the Adult Detention Center following his release from the hospital, according to a press release.

Preliminarily investigation shows that police believe speed and alcohol on the part of Benitez are contributing factors to the crash.
