KENSINGTON, Md. (WUSA9) -- A large tree took out some power lines and fell into a house in Kensington on Friday morning.

Bethann Nesselts with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services told us that they received a call  at 10:39 a.m. for a large tree into a house in the 3000 block of Plyers Mill Road.

According to Nesselts, first responders arrived to find a very large tree had crushed the roof of the house and took some Pepco wires with it.

The street is open but the sidewalk in front of the house is closed.

Nesselts also said code enforcement was called out to condemn the house and Pepco was also called to the scene.
