OCEAN CITY, Md. (WUSA9) -- A 14-year-old girl fell from a third-story window during a house party, police say.
The Ocean City Police Department said several teens were consuming alcohol during the party on Saturday at about 11:30 p.m.
At some point, the 14-year-old girl tried to exit the apartment through a window and fell out. She was found conscious and alert when officers arrived, police said.
"The victim was treated at the scene by OCFD Paramedics and was then flown to University of Maryland Medical Center's Shock Trauma in Baltimore as a precaution by Maryland State Police helicopter," police said in a press release.
The teen, who police will not identify, was released to her parents. No foul play is suspected in this incident, police said.
Worcester County Social Services is conducting a further investigation.
