WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- DC police arrested 43-year-old Kenneth Brown in connection to a fatal shooting in Northeast on Wednesday but now they say there are no charges against him.
Officers were called out to the 1200 block of Raum Street on Wednesday morning for reports of a shooting, DC Police said.
According to police, 35-year-old Thomas Terrell Jamison, was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital where he died. Shortly after, Kenneth Brown was located in the 1200 block of Simms Place with apparent gunshot wounds and was also transported to a local hospital, police said.
After an earlier report that there were charges against Brown, on Thursday police say that their investigation later revealed he may have been acting in self-defense.
