Steven Tyler Haines Arrested for Multiple Burglaries Damascus, Md.

DAMASCUS, Md. (WUSA9) -- A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with multiple burglaries in Damascus since 2012, Montgomery County Police say. 

After an investigation, Montgomery County detectives received information that Steven Tyler Haines  may be present at an address on Mountain view road, police said. 

When the officers located him, following an an arrest warrant issued on Feb. 28, Haines tried to run but was arrested soon after, according to a press release.

The following were burglaries were reported:  

  • December 9, 2012 - Pleasant Grove Church at 11225 Mountain View Road.
  • February 2, 2013 - (Attempted burglary) at the Pleasant Grove Church.
  • February 10, 2013 - 11400 block of Mountain View Road.
  • February 19, 2013 - Pleasant Grove Church.

"Haines is charged with three counts of second degree burglary and theft-related charges. Haines was also charged with an additional count of second degree burglary and theft following the March 23 burglary and the March 24 theft," police said in a press release. 

He is currently being held on two $100,000 bonds.
