Flightaware.com shows American Airlines Flight 1491 headed from Reagan to Dulles
WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Wednesday afternoon, a plane that took off from Reagan National Airport declared an emergency and was diverted to Dulles International Airport, says Rob Yingling with Metropolitan Washington Airports Authorities.
Yingling said that the pilots reported that they may have a pressurization issue on American Airlines Flight #1491. The pilots asked to land on runway 1C at Dulles.
At 1:50 p.m. the plane was still circling, burning off fuel and emergency equipment was standing by.
The plane landed at approximately 2:15 p.m.
Flightaware.com shows that the flight was originally headed to Dallas/Fort Worth.
