ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WUSA/AP) - Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold resigned on Friday.
On Wednesday, he was found guilty of misconduct in office for using his security detail for personal and political purposes. Prosecutors also accused him of abusing his power by forcing a county employee to empty his urine from a catheter drainage bag.
Leopold faced three charges of misconduct in office. He also faced a charge of misusing county money for personal benefit.
