Teen Girl Assaulted While Walking To School Bus Stop in Fort Washington, Md.

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WUSA) -  A teenage girl was assaulted Thursday morning as she walked to her school bus stop, according to Prince George's County Police.

Police are searching for the man who approached her at about 6:30 a.m. Jan. 17. She was approached by the adult male near Lourdes Drive and Hickory Drive. The suspect grabbed the girl, which caused both victim and suspect to fall to the ground. The teenager was able to kick her attacker and escape.

The victim told her father who called police.

Marked police cruisers were placed at the three bus stops in the vicinity of the assault on Thursday afternoon, and officers began canvassing the area to follow up leads, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, in his late 20s to early 30s. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and sweat pants.
