Metro To Stay Open Late For Redskins Sunday Night Football Game

WASHINGTON (WUSA) - Metrorail will stay open for an extra hour on Sunday, December 30 to accommodate people attending the Redskins Sunday Night game at FedEx Field.

The game, which has been rescheduled by the NFL to kickoff at 8:20 p.m., will determine the winner of the NFC East.

According to Metro, the last Blue Line train will leave Morgan Boulevard for Franconia-Springfield at 12:25 a.m..  The last Blue Line train to Largo Town Center will leave at 1:33 a.m..

Customers will be able to make connections to other lines as follows:

      Orange Line - transfer at Stadium-Armory

      Green or Yellow line - transfer at L'Enfant Plaza

      Red Line - transfer at Metro Center

The entrances at every other Metro station will close at normal times.  Customers will be able to exit all stations during additional service hours.

The extended Metrorail service is funded by an agreement with the Washington Redskins.
