Attempted Robbery Suspect Told Victim 'This Is A One Time Offer'

HANOVER, Md. (WUSA) -- Anne Arundel County police are looking for a man who tried to rob another man in a Big Lots parking lot and told him, "This is a one time offer."

Officers responded Tuesday at approx. 7:51 p.m. to the parking lot of Big Lots in the 2600 block of Annapolis Rd. in Hanover. The victim told them that a man with a silver semi-automatic handgun approached him as he was putting his purchases in the trunk of his car. The man came from a wooded area near the parking lot. The man made the statement, but as soon as the victim saw the gun he fled from the scene. The suspect also fled.

Police are still looking for the suspect, who is described as a black male, 5'8" tall, wearing a black jacket with a gray hooded jacket underneath and black pants.
