BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA) -- Montgomery County police say there is a water main break in the 6800 block of Wisconsin Avenue on Friday morning. Currently, only two southbound lanes of Wisconsin Avenue are open.
A WSSC spokesperson says contractors connected a line from the Adagio Condominiums to a new water main on Thursday and that line sprung a leak. The lowest level of the parking lot of the Adagio is covered with two to three feet of water. There is an estimated 3 to 5 cars parked there, according to the spokesperson.
WSSC is investigating the leak but at this time does not know where the leak is located in the line.
While crews investigate, water service has been shut down to the Adagio and three other buildings connected to it.
