ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA) -- Three buildings had their roofs partially torn off by the wind generated from Sandy in The City of Alexandria, say Virginia State Police.
One the buildings is described as "a residential, garden-style apartment building." State police say the apartment building has been condemned and 20 people who live there were evacuated or relocated.
Additionally, 10 homes in Alexandria have tree damage.
Police say there will be a damage assessment today at daylight.
