CULPEPER, Va. (WUSA) -- After an investigation by a school resource officer, Culpeper police say four adults are facing 14 charges for contributing to the delinquency of minors after allegedly giving alcohol to teenagers and allowing them to smoke marijuana.

Police say 47-year-old Diana L. Walker of Richardsville allegedly bought alcohol for her underage son and his friends before Eastern View High School's homecoming dance on Oct. 6. Then, she's accused of bringing three of them to 18-year-old John H. McDevitt's home in Culpeper. There, the teens were allowed to drink alcohol and smoke marijuana.

Walker allegedly took three of the teens to the home of 18-year-old John H. McDevitt V of Culpeper, and allowed them to drink alcohol and smoke marijuana in her presence. Two other adults, 18-year-old Alvin A. Chura Jr. of Culpeper and 18-year-old Kenneth H. Olenslager of Culpeper were also there when the teens were smoking and drinking, according to police.

After Walker allegedly brought the three teens to her house, another teen showed up and drank alcohol, say police.

Walker is charged with four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one charge of purchasing alcohol for an unauthorized person. She was released from jail on a $5,000 secured bond.

McDevitt, Chura and Olenslager are each charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. McDevitt and Chura were released on a $1,000 secured bond while Olenslager was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
