CALIFORNIA, Md. (WUSA) - A Maryland man has been arrested in connection with the attempted armed robbery of a pizza delivery person, according to police.
Kenneth D. Mitchell 19, of Lexington Park, Md., was arrested on Oct. 15 in reference to a Sept. 9 incident when police responded to an apartment complex in California, Md. A pizza delivery person was approached by a male suspect who was armed with a handgun and demanded the pizzas. The delivery person refused and left the scene in his vehicle. The suspect fled to the back of the apartment complex.

A second suspect, Mitchell, was arrested in reference to the robbery of the pizza delivery person, and charged with Attempted Armed Robbery. He is in the St. Mary's County Detention Center under $20,000 bond.
