Donnell Alonte Murray, Of Manassas, Arrested After Threatening Man With A Knife

MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- Prince William County Police arrested 23-year-old Donnell Alonte Murray after threatening a man with a knife.

On Oct. 14 at about 6:47 p.m. police responded to the 7500 block of Sage St. in Manassas for reports of an assault. The victim stated that an unknown man approached him while he was near a shopping center on Streamwalk Lane, police said.

According to police, a verbal altercation began soon after and the suspect threatened the victim with a knife. The victim was able to run home on Sage St. but the suspect, later identified as Murray, followed and tried to break into the victim's home but was unsuccessful.

A Prince William County Police officer was able to locate Murray a short distance away and was arrested following an investigation.

Murray, of Manassas, is being charged with burglary, assault and battery. He is being held without bond.
