2 Seriously Injured In DC Apartment Fire

WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Two D.C. residents are being treated for smoke inhalation at George Washington Hospital after their apartment went up in flames, D.C. Fire said.

The incident took place on the 2900 block of 14th street NW at about 5 p.m. on Saturday. D.C. Officials say the fire started in the kitchen but firefighters were able to quickly put it out. 

D.C. Fire says the two females have non-life threatening injures.
