WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- On Friday, a 37-year-old man from Washington, D.C. was sentenced to life in prison on Friday after being convicted of sexually assaulting two stepdaughters and his son's girlfriend.
The man was not named by Department of Justice officials as to not identify the victims. Authorities say that the man was found guilty of first and second degree child sexual abuse with aggravating circumstances in July. He is a convicted sex offender for assaulting a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl in 1998.
According to evidence presented at trial, he started sexually assaulting his stepdaughters when they were nine years old. The abuse continued for five years in several different homes. The man also sexually abused his son's girlfriend when she was 13 years old.
Police were not notified about the abuse until 2010.
Friday, he received a life sentence and the judge said,"It is my full intention to make sure you do not hurt another little girl." The man was also ordered to pay $6500 to a fund for crime victims.
