TAMPA BAY, Fla. (WUSA) -- The Washington Redskins have defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-22.
Tampa got on the board after Kicker Connor Barth hit a 50 yard field goal.
The Redskins then answered back with an unconventional score. With the ball inside the Bucs 10 yard line, QB Robert Griffin III fumbled into the endzone. The ball was recovered in the endzone by Redskins Receiver Pierre Garcon for the score.
Later, RG3 extended the lead to 14-3 on a 5 yard touchdown run.
Next, Alfred Morris made the score 21-3 with a 39 yard touchdown run.
Vincent Jackson caught a touchdown for Tampa Bay from Josh Freeman with less than 2 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter to cut the deficit to 21-13.
The Bucs then made the score 21-19 on a LaGarrette Blount touchdown run but missed a two-point conversion to tie the game.
Barth put Tampa up 22-21 with 1:42 left on a 47 yard field goal.
For the Redskins, Kicker Billy Cundiff missed his first three field goals in the game, but made up for it hitting a game-winning 41-yard kick with 3 seconds left to win it for the Skins.
