Teen Charged In Attempted Pizza Delivery Man Robbery

CALIFORNIA, Md. (WUSA) -- A 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged as an adult for an attempted robbery of a pizza delivery person and police say more arrests are pending.

According to St. Mary's County authorities, a pizza delivery person was approached by a person with a gun, who demanded pizzas outside an apartment complex in California, Md. on September 9 at approximately 2:55 p.m. The pizza delivery person refused, and fled in his vehicle. The suspect reportedly fled on foot to the back of the complex.

Detectives identified 17-year-old Bababo O. Obarao of White Plains, Md. as the suspect on September 26. He is charged as an adult with armed robbery. 

He is being held in jail without bond.
