SPRINGFIELD, Va. (WUSA) -- A Springfield, Va. man was convicted on Wednesday for pretending he was a teen girl named "Tracy" to get boys to send him sexually explicit images. He would then send the photos to other people, according to authorities.

After a bench trial, 20-year-old Faisal Hashime was convicted of three counts of production of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child pornography. He pleaded guilty to possessing and receiving child pornography earlier this month.

The production charges carry between 15 and 30 years in prison, the distribution charges carry between 5 and 20 years and the possession and reception charges carry a maximum of five years.

The investigation reportedly started after Hashime emailed child porn to an undercover agent. Officers acting on a search warrant found several emails from Hashime to minor boys where he pretended to be an attractive teen girl named Tracy. Through flirtation, explicit conversation and encouragement, he was able to get the boys to take and send photos of their genitalia and their naked bodies. Hashime would then send them to other people.

Authorities say during a search at his home, Hashime confessed to being Tracy online.

Hashime has a sentencing hearing on December 7.
