(WUSA) -- Metro spokesperson Dan Stessel says that some customers were stuck in an elevator for about 26 minutes at the Tenleytown station on Thursday morning.

D.C. firefighters responded to the scene and released the customers at approximately 8:56 a.m. No one was injured, according to Stessel.

A fire official says that the department gets between 20 to 30 elevator calls a day. He says the Tenleytown elevator incident was a routine elevator call.
