Trees, Wires, Down Across DC Region; Tree Crashes Onto Cheverly Home

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (WUSA) -- All around the DC region on Tuesday, winds and rain combined to topple trees and bring down power lines.

Trees and wires were reported  down on New Hampshire Avenue and Brook Road in Brookeville on Tuesday afternoon. Both roads are closed.

Trees and wires are also reportedly down in the 16400 block of Redland Road in Montgomery County.

In Wheaton, trees and wires are down on Paul Drive and Church Lane. 

In Frederick, 9News' Scott Broom spotted a huge tree blocking access across a busy road. In Cheverly, Ken Molestina talked to a woman whose home was smashed by a massive tree that left her unhurt but her house in ruins. See the attached video for their reports
