FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (WUSA) -- Tuesday morning, U.S. Marshals Service and Immigration and Customs Enforcement found a man in Georgia who was wanted for allegedly stabbing a man to death in a tent in Virginia.

Agents served a search warrant at a residence in Marietta, Georgia and took 43-year-old Juan Antonio Zarco Melchor into custody. Authorities say he is a suspect in the murder of Armando Escobar, who was found stabbed to death in his tent at a homeless camp in Fredericksburg on July 25.

Juan Zarco (also known as "Michaocano") allegedly fled from Virginia after the crime to a relative's house in Georgia, where he was arrested.

Authorities say Juan Zarco will be extradited to Fredericksburg to face a charge of first-degree homicide.

At this time, authorities aren't exactly sure what led to the stabbing. Anyone with information should call Detective Patrick Lamb at 540-654-5740.
