Video shows persons of interest trying to use credit card of Thomas Maslin of Washington,D.C., beating victim in August assault

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) - Police are asking the public's help in identifying a car that is connected to a robbery and aggravated assault on August 18.

Thomas Maslin, a 29-year-old husband and father was found unconscious on the front porch of a house blocks from his home near Eastern Market on August 18. He had attended a Nationals game and went out for a drink near Capitol Hill. Investigators later learned that he had been assaulted, and his credit card may have been used after the attack. 


The assault took place in the 700 block of of North Carolina Ave, SE and the car of interest is shown in the video below. The persons of interest are seen trying to use the victim's credit card at the Exxon station in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, shortly after the robbery and assault took place.
