WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- The man charged with firing shots at the White House in an attempt to kill President Barack Obama is scheduled to be back in court today.
Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez of Idaho was charged with firing an assault rifle at the Presdent's home last month. A bullet smashed into a window of the living quarters of the executive mansion but was stopped by ballistic glass.
Acquaintances of the suspect say he began acting strangely in recent months.
Federal prosecutors are asking for Hernandez to undergo more psychiatric testing.
