Daniella Mangos Recalled For Possible Salmonella Contamination

LANDOVER, Md. (WUSA) -- The Giant Supermarket in Landover, Md. voluntarily recalled Daniella mangos due to possible salmonella contamination.

The recalled mangos included those purchased during July 12 and August 24, 2012 with the sku number 4959.

Eating food contaminated with Salmonella can be life-threatening, especially to those with weak immune systems, such as infants, the elderly. 

Symptoms of salmonellosis include: diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within eight to 72 hours. Additional symptoms may be chills, headache, nausea and vomiting that can last up to seven days.
