WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- General Motors has recalled certain 2012 Chevy Express and GMC Savana vans, and Chevy Suburban and GMC Yukon CILL SUVs.
GM says the gear shaft can break and cause a loss of steering.
The recall affects 6,159 of these models. Dealers will inspect the steering gear, and if necessary, replace the steering shaft for free.
GM will notify owners.
There are no reports of crashes or injuries.
