WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the Rally for Citizenship on Wednesday afternoon outside the U.S. Capitol.

NAACP president Benjamin Jealous will give the keynote address, and some families will share their personal stories.

This latest public push for immigration reform comes as a bipartisan group of lawmakers is about to release an immigration reform package.

Senators could unveil a sweeping immigration bill that would give legal status to the nation's 11 million illegal immigrants by early next week. It also could secure the border and establish new visa programs for high- and low-skilled foreign workers.
