Pro golfers support dozens of area youth with disabilities, hit the green

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)-- Oh My GOFF! Angie Goff reports in DC public schools, more than 5,000 children take part in some kind of physical therapy. This statistic is why one local charity is out to prove the power athletics play in the lives of those with disabilities.

It was a day spent hitting the green for dozens of area youth with disabilities at the Langston Golf Course in Northeast Washington. It was part of Dream for Kids Extreme Recess, a free golf clinic that celebrated ability in all children. Families, friends and professional golfers were standing by as some of the kids took their first swing ever.
