NOKESVILLE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Lightning caused a fire at a home meant to resemble a historical colonial home in Nokesville on Thursday afternoon, say Prince William County fire officials.

Officials say the building was built in the 1960s or 1970s to look like a "colonial home with servant quarters located in the front of the primary residence with a second identical home on the other side of the residence." Lightning hit it and caused heavy fire and smoke damage, according to officials. The damage estimate is between $80,000 and $100,000.

According to officials, no one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. Officials say the tenant has been displaced.
