WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- An 88-year-old driver died after he ignored a stop sign, say Prince William County Police.

Police say Kermit Adam Gueiss of Woodbridge and a passenger were traveling on Post Office Road when he disregarded a stop sign and collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado on Golansky Boulevard.

Gueiss, his passenger, and the Silverado driver were transported to hospitals, say police. Gueiss was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.  Police say the driver of the Silverado and Gueiss' passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, all three people were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. They do not believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
