Warren Carter, charged with burglary and abduction in Prince William County
WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- A woman woke up early on Saturday morning to find an acquaintance in her bedroom who then demanded she take him for a car ride, say Prince William County police.
Police say the woman was sleeping in her home on John Robinson Lane when she awoke to find 38-year-old Warren Lee Alonzo Carter inside her room.
According to police, Carter had forced his way into her home through the front door and then went to her bedroom. Carter then allegedly demanded a ride.
Police say the woman knew Carter and to avoid a confrontation, she agreed to give him a ride to Triangle Shopping Plaza. At that location, Carter got out of the car, and the woman called police.
Police say while officers were investigating, Carter returned to the woman's home and he was arrested.
Carter is charged with burglary and abduction, say police. He is being held without bond.
