WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- A man and woman are charged after the man allegedly used several stolen credit cards to buy items from Home Depot and then stored them in storage units in Woodbridge. Prince William County police say he then tried to get another person to help him destroy evidence during their investigation.

Sabastian Adu Gyamfi and Diana Oppong, both of Woodbridge, were arrested on July 30, say police. Police say Gyamfi received items from some Home Depot stores "using multiple stolen or fraudulently obtained credit cards."

Police investigating the card thefts from individuals from across the United States were led to the Public Storage in Woodbridge. They executed search warrants on three storage units there and found approximately $150,000 worth of high-end kitchen appliances and other property, say police. Then, computers and other property were recovered, according to police.

According to police, Gyamfi contacted Oppong during the investigation to help attempt to destroy evidence. Police then arrested Gyamfi and Oppong.

Gyamfi is charged with two counts of credit card theft, 1 count of obstruction of justice and 1 count of possession of stolen property, say police. He is being held on $100,000 secured bond.

Oppong is charged with obstruction of justice and being held on $10,000 secured bond.
