Teen charged for setting fire in West Potomac HS bathroom

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA9) --  Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department officials say a 16 year-old juvenile has been charged for setting a fire in a school bathroom on Wednesday afternoon.

Officials say the fire started in a bathroom trash can at approximately 1 p.m. at West Potomac High School on Quander Road.

The fire was quickly extinguished by school security, say officials.

No one was injured in the fire.

Officials tell us the juvenile is charged with burning personal property, a class one misdemeanor.
