FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fairfax County Police arrested a 72-year-old man after he allegedly made a bomb threat at the courthouse.
Police say officers responded to the Fairfax County Courthouse on shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday for a reported bomb threat. They obtained information that led them to identify 72-year-old Joe Edwin Honesty of Alexandria as a suspect.
Police say that officers found Honesty inside the courthouse "there on an unrelated matter."
According to police, officer took him into custody and walked him next door to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Honesty was charged with making a bomb threat. He is being held without bond, say police.
Police say they do not believe there was ever an explosive device at the courthouse.
