Judy MacMillan Died Due To Injuries Sustained In Herndon Pedestrian Accident

HERNDON, Va. (WUSA9) -- A 62-year-old woman died due to injures she sustained in an accident on Tuesday, police say. 

On April 16, at approximately 10:24 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Van Buren Street and Elden Street regarding a report of an accident involving a car and a pedestrian, according to the Herndon Police Department.

Judy MacMillan, a Herndon resident, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries but passed due to her injures three days later, police said. 

According to a preliminary investigation, the vehicle was traveling west bound on Elden Street when the pedestrian entered the crosswalk while the do not walk sign was lit, police said. 

No charges have been filed at this time.
