CHRISTIANBURG, Va. (WUSA*9) -- Two women were shot Friday afternoon on a community college campus.

Police arrested Neil MacInnis, 18, for opening fire at a Christiansburg, Virginia mall just outside Blacksburg. The New River Community College has a satellite location there. The suspect is now in custody. There's no word on a motive.

One of the women was flown to the hospital. The other was taken by ambulance. Schools in the area were locked down as a precaution.
Investigators say they do not believe there is any continuing threat to the community.

Investigators are trying to figure out if MacInnis knew the victims.
Five minutes after the shooting, he was subdued by an off duty security guard and two cops. The mall will reopen Saturday afternoon.
