MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County police say they have charged a man with driving under the influence for the fourth time in ten years after he refused to stop for an officer Thursday morning.
Police say Thursday at 1 a.m., a police officer tried to stop a vehicle in the area of Wellington Road and Livingston Road in Manassas, but the driver ignored the lights and siren and continued to drive. The vehicle continued to the area of the 7-11 on Wellington Road where it was stopped, according to police.
Gregory William Ballou was taken into custody without incident, say police. He was determined to have been under the influence of alcohol and charged with driving under the influence - 4th in 10 years, eluding, driving on a revoked license - alcohol related, and unreasonable refusal.
Ballou is being held without bond and has a court date set for May 17, say police.
