WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County police say they have arrested a woman accused of asking another woman for a ride, but then robbing her at gunpoint.
Police say a 42-year-old woman reported the robbery in the 15900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge shortly after midnight Wednesday.
The woman told police a stranger knocked on the front door of her home asking for money and a ride, say police. The woman agreed to give the stranger a ride and during the drive the stranger implied she had a weapon then started going through the woman's purse looking for money, according to police. The woman and the stranger got into a struggle and the woman was struck in the face, say police. The woman managed to drive to the police station, but the stranger ran off.
Police say that later that morning around 2, an officer found a person walking in the area of Graham Park Road and determined that 28-year-old Tiffany Elizabeth Willis was the robbery suspect.
Willis was arrested and charged with robbery and assault & battery.
