Driver Who Fled Crash In Sterling Located In Herndon, Say Police

STERLING, Va. (WUSA9) -- Loudoun County Sheriff's Office authorities say a driver who fled the scene of a crash on Sunday morning was later found in Herndon by Fairfax County police.

Authorities say a driver led officers in a pursuit from Fairfax County into Loudoun County before losing control of the vehicle at Hardwood Forest Drive and Algonkian Parkway shortly before 6:30 a.m. He then reportedly fled the scene on foot.

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, the Virginia State Police and the Fairfax County Police officers conducted an aerial and ground search for the suspect. Fairfax County Police officers later found the suspect in Herndon and took him into custody.
