WARRENTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- Warrenton and other areas of Fauquier county in Northern Virginia are the first two see the first signs of the March winter storm popularly coined the "snowquester."
In those areas the snow accumulation is expected to be upwards of 3 inches. Although the warnings were issued far in advance we found one group of folks who spent the eve of this storm at their local bowling alley.
They said even the anticipated snow storm couldn't keep them away from their Tuesday night league games at the Broadview Lanes.
Pat Compton said, "I say bring it on I want it" about the snow.
It's been years since she has seen a major snow storm and she believes our area is "over do."
Fauquier County schools have already anounced they will be closed on Wednesday.
Late Tuesday night crews could be seen salting the roads while plow trucks and their drivers stood on stand by ready to clear the roadways of the expected snow.
