TYSONS CORNER, Va. (WUSA9) -- A construction worker was rescued from from a 20-foot hole at Tysons Corner, authorities said.
According to the Fairfax County Fire Dept., at around 10:40 a.m. on Monday a piece of construction equipment hit the worker on the head and caused him to fall into the hole.
Firefighters rescued the victim and was immediately transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the Fairfax Fire Dept. spokesperson Dan Schmidt said.
The accident took place near the Lord and Taylor's store, Schmidt added.
